After having been the victim of a wrongful prosecution himself, Ex-Governor of Illinois Rod Blagojevich recently advocated on Doug Gilding's behalf. Blagojevich, who spent years in federal prison for what he calls "conversations, not crimes," is now speaking out for Doug Gilding, a man who has spent 30 years in prison with a life sentence for a 10-minute conversation, despite being home when the crime occurred.
"What we as a society must not ever accept is that innocent people should be condemned to prison for life," Blagojevich states.
The Georgetown Innocence Project has taken on Doug's case, and whether you believe in his innocence or simply believe in fair justice, this case deserves attention.
